It's released on the 26th Feb......OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to watch it.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm...it's been a few months since the last time I wrote something here.

Work has been so busy in the last few weeks that I nearly feel it has overtaken my life. Although I have got a lot more familiar with work but I'm still struggling with the time budget. It's when I have reached my budget but haven't got my work done that I get extremely stressed! Oh well, I think this is just a part of the learning curve.

When I get home, all I wanna do is just relax, watch TV, lie in bed and sleep. Hence why, I hardly go out and hang around anymore. Weekend is just something to look forward to every day.

In a nutshell, things that happened in the past few months:

  • I moved out of Lidcombe to Chatswood - yea, it's hell close to my work now, only 8 mins walk. It saves me 3 extra hours every day from travelling on a train which is very cool.
  • I got my first 3 month review which was pretty favourable and I got a raise...yay!
  • I got a new set of desktop computer with big screen - a gift from Justin for our anniversary. I was surprised and overwhelmed. (But part of it was also because he couldn't stand my slowwwwww laptop no more, it frustrated him too much..lol)
  • This is a nasty one - I'm gaining weight due to less activities nowadays. Well, 5 days a week, I'm sitting in front of a computer from 8.30 to 5. All I do is just typing and clicking a mouse. The most exercise I can do is just going to the printer or the loo, lol... I must take this fitness/exercise stuff very seriously to get rid of my unwanted kilos. Argghhhh....... Maybe I need to join a gym...but it's a rip-off.....Awww,...!

And, things that I'm looking forward to:

  • DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!! - the festive season
  • Kris Kringle and Christmas party on the 19th Dec
  • Mum's and Grandma's visit to Sydney on the 24th
  • HOLIDAYYYYYYYY from the 25th Dec - 04th Jan ---> office closed! Finally I get some break

OLYMPIC FEVER!!!!
08.08.08

Olympic fever is just everywhere right now. Anywhere I go, people just seem to only talk about Olympic. City seemed a bit more quiet than usual considering it's a Friday night - when all youngsters normally hang out in the pubs, restaurants after a long week of work.

I watched the opening ceremony on tv and how I wished that my grandpa was still alive and watching it in awe. He must love it a lot. He always said that China is a great country with all the natural talents. I hoped he's watching it somewhere.....aww...I miss him.

Ah....just so we felt that we were part of the Olympic, we had this Olympic fun on Friday at work too. We all had a choice of dressing up in our country colour respectively, else chose another country if you don't have the colours in your closet. Then, every two people will represent one country. Me and my colleague Sarah will represent CUBA, lol. We have to decorate our cubicles with anything related to CUBA and if our country wins a medal, we'll get a prize, haha... pretty exciting. The admin girls must have won a lot of prizes since they're representing China.

On top of that, everything seems to be alright for me. I enjoy my new job heaps, although I still need to walk around asking other colleagues when I'm stuck with work. I feel very bad sometimes for disturbing them but I guess it's better than doing everything until the end then just realise than I have done something wrong in the very beginning and hence, gotta do the whole process all over again.

And btw,

Congratulations to RICE for bringing Australia the first gold medal. Well-done!!!

I've finally completed my first week officially working at Huthnance Lomax. I will be doing the training sessions for two weeks and they really give such a well structured training program. I'm trained from really basic stuffs - local company's database software, accounting software, accounting knowledge particularly in tax since I'll be dealing with tax returns, BAS, etc etc....

I'm feeling excited - this job means a lot to me, the learning experience is just priceless. My lifestyle also changes - I have to go to bed at around 10ish for me to wake up at 6 every morning. My weeknights just seem very short now. But anyhow, I'm still enjoying my new life.

Tonight, me and Eric cooked some dinner...and...TaDa...!!!!

Fried Hokkien Noodles with vegies garnished with egg + fried onions

Mushrooms with chicken stirred in garlic + salt + pepper

Alright, I'm getting really tired now and I'm not going to be long-winded. I'm off to bed!

Good night!

Last Saturday (14/6) was my Birthday and it was the best birthday ever.

So, on Friday night, Justin took me to watch the "Sex and the city" at Macquarie Centre after work. It was a long movie and it finished at around 8ish pm. Uhmm....conclusion, since Im a girl, I would say the movie was nice - love the dresses, shoes, bags and the wedding gown....omg.....beautiful!

Anyway, yeah..once the movie was over, he just said that he had booked a table at "Sambal Restaurant" (Malaysian Restaurant at North Ryde) at 8.30 without any discussion with me before hand. I felt a little bit strange but I thought, "oh well, where else could we have dinner at this time, Sambal is the closest"

So, we got there and I felt very surprised when I saw Eric, Linda and James sitting there waiting for us. I didn't have any clue that there would be an early surprise birthday dinner for me. I was stunned and Justin whispered into my ear "Happy Birthday". Four of them had planned and organised it few days before my birthday without my knowledge, they were exchanging emails at work so they didn't give away any hints and I could only say "Good Job!"

We had a feast that night - we had chicken satays as the entree, then a few main courses like beef rendang, asam prawns, belacan eggplants and kangkong and finally the most special one CHILLI CRAB!!!!! I had missed that one for a long long time. All the food was scrumptious!
This restaurant is highly recommended if any one of you misses the Indonesian/Malaysian cuisine! You won't regret it.

I also had a birthday cake after dinner, it's a blueberry cheese cake! - one of my favourites. What a thoughtful decision to get that cake for me,..hehehe...
I had to make birthday wishes before blowing the candles so one of them was to get a job soon.

I spent my birthday having yumcha with Justin's parents in North Sydney on Saturday afternoon and then just spent the rest of my weekend preparing for the job interview on Monday. I was so scared, nervous and excited at the same time - all mixed up together.

And.....

my wish really came true

On Tuesday morning, I got the phone call from Huthnance Lomax that I was offered the position. My heart was beating like hell when I picked up the call. That's the best birthday present ever!!!! I called everyone and they're all excited for me. I couldn't believe that I got it. It's like a dream. Maybe I had been longing for it for so long that I felt so special when I eventually got what I wanted.

Phewww......finally..... my happiness is just complete. I can enjoy life as much as I want and I got my confidence back.

Work starts on 30th June and I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks everyone for organising that birthday dinner for me, thanks for making the effort. I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the lovely presents too.

Thanks everyone for the wishes

I'm so happy......la...la..la..la........
